<p>I've been accepted to a few schools and have narrowed it down to possibly attending the University of Maryland College Park or Emory University as a prospective music major. Both schools are very good in certain areas but I find a dilemma when trying to figure out which one to attend next. Since I'm from Maryland I find that I'm drawn to going to College Park because of its familiarity, but I also feel that Emory might be a good place for me academically. Now May 1st is coming up fast and I still haven't decided. Any suggestions or opinions?</p>
<p>Would you be in the School of Music at Maryland? That is rapidly becoming one of the better schools of music around.</p>
<p>Curious what kind of music? (What instrument? Or voice?) I don't know a think about either school's music major, except we're from Atlanta, and a lot of the Emory staff is in the ASO. Academics, I think, are probably stronger at Emory. I would imagine the price difference between Emory and in-state UMCP would be huge!</p>
