These questions are for BS in Engineering.
1. What employers recruit WUSTL Engineers?
2. What employers were at the Engineering fair?
3. What employers recruit Chemical Engineers fromWUSTL?

Hey! I have a Chemical Engineering friend who has been flying across the country for her job interviews. Let me ask her and get back to you (I’m in the Arts and Sciences so I’m not as familiar with Engineering employment)

"Companies that recruit ChemEs at WashU include: Proctor & Gamble, Ameren Power, Purina, Burns & McDonnell, Monsanto, Centene, Loreal, ExxonMobil, and others.

Also, WashU generally has three major career fairs, two in the fall, and one in the spring. The career center puts on one each semester, and this one covers a very broad range of career paths. The other fall one is put on by our chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and has a lot more engineering-oriented jobs (although there are definitely more options for BME or CompSci)."

Zenith, we visited WashU last week it was really a great trip. My question is about the Computer Engineering program…we visited the building but hardly saw anyone in the labs. Can you please tell me about its reputation within the college and how many students?

Hi pixeljig,

I’m glad to hear you had a great visit to WashU!
Personally as an Arts and Science student I can’t say much about the Computer Engineering program.
I will forward your question to my CE friend(s). Give me a few days to get back to you!

Best,
zenith

You can find statistics about how many students have graduated in each major at the NCES College Navigator site

Thanks Sacchi, that is a very helpful website.

I saw about 34 graduating at WashU in Computer Science and 6 in Computer Engineering-General, slightly confused about this. Only 6?? Out of 1640 in total.
