Employers say UF & FSU grads better prepared than Regional Universities

<p>Readers: Workforce newcomers are 'average'</p>

<p>Readers believe college graduate arrivals to the workforce are average or a little above, as 61 percent of those responding to the latest BizPulse Survey gave them a 'B' or a 'C' grade. Those getting a 'C' grade took the most votes, 44 of 136 that were cast. </p>

<p>There was a range of opinion from readers in comments in the latest Business Pulse Survey, the nonscientific weekly online poll designed to provide a snapshot of what readers are thinking. </p>

<p>"Grads from USF [University of South Florida] and UT [University of Tampa] don't seem to be as well prepared as the bigger state schools such as UF [University of Florida] and FSU [Florida State University] in terms of the professional skills and knowledge we look for in our industry, but it may be a curriculum thing," said a reader. </p>
