Employment Prospects

Do you guys know how are the employment prospects of a Wesleyan graduate?

These things are hard to gauge; not all colleges make such stats public and it's hard to make comparisons. I've heard good things about Wesleyan's Career Resource Center. I've also read somewhere that of all Wesleyan graduates seeking work directly upon receiving their diplomas, 80% find jobs "in their fields" within a year of doing so.

OTOH, I've also read that 80% of all Wesleyan grads wind up going to graduate or professional school within five years of Commencement. So, go figure.

oh okay. Thanks a lot johnwesley!

Not too many employers go to Wesleyan to recruit because it's a small school, but a Wesleyan degree is very marketable...

I'd say it's pretty impressive.

Actually, a lot of investment banks recruit at Wesleyan. It's almost annoying how big a deal it is (CRC sends all-senior emails about it, etc). But it's also funny to see a whole hoarde of people marching down Church St. in business suits amidst all the other students lounging about in shorts and t-shirts and flip-flops.

Oh...ok. I stand corrected. Another point to make during my interview!!!! (which needs to be scheduled pronto)
