Eng 45a or 45b for freshman?

Hi, I really need an input: should I take English 45a or 45b for the fall semester? Prof. Nolan and Goldsmith, respectively. I'm pretty comfortable with both book lists, but 45b's does seem slightly more interesting. On the other hand, Prof. Nolan has higher ratings on Ratemyprofessors...so I'm torn. Thanks in advance! :)

Also, since I'm waiting for my AP Lit score, should I take an R1B course anyways? Or should I wait until the spring semester just in case I got a 5 on the AP test? O.O If yes, would it be wise to take 2 English classes back to back? The R1B class that I'm interested in has lectures on MWF 1-2, 45b is MW 2-3, and 45a is MW 3-4. Much appreciated!

You could sign up for R1B, but be prepared to drop it and replace it with an alternative course that is relatively easy to get into if you get a 5 on AP English Literature.

You have 10 minutes to get between classes. Two classes in the same building won’t be a problem, but going from Tolman to Wurster might be for some people. But back to back classes might prevent you from sticking around after class to discuss something with the instructor or other students.
