I see that for the engineering math diagnostic test online, it says I can opt out if I have received a score of 3 or better on the BC calc exam. I just took it last week so obviously I don't know my score, but I'm sure that I got at least a 3. So is it ok for me to opt out of the diagnostic? I think it would be a waste of time to see if I'm ready for MATH 1910 when I'm going to test out of it...

never mind, that thing took me like 15 minutes

Are the diagnostic tests only for opting out of classes without using AP credits?
There are no placement tests we need to take if we’re only going to use AP credits or to simply choose to take the class right?

The diagnostic test really doesn’t mean anything. It’s just supposed to be used to see if you’re ready for MATH 1910 (which is the second semester of Calc BC if you took that). The diagnostic doesn’t determine placement at all.

And yeah, if you have AP credit or will just take MATH 1910, you don’t need to take any placement tests.

Good to know. Thanks for the info! :)
