Engineering and Politics?

Is there any way that I could find a career that combines chemical engineering and political science? I have a passion for both and I would love to be able to combine them into one job. Does anyone know if it would be worth it/any possible job opportunities out there for it?

haha…tmanneopen. I just enjoy reading most of your posts. There’s just so much wishful thinking.

You can always go back to college for political science after chemical engineering. Maybe you can take them both simultaneously for a double major if you go to a well-rounded college academically like BU or Northeastern, but not at a technical school like MIT.

As for jobs, I’m not sure if there’s any such job. Well, maybe you can be the leader of ACS (American Chemistry Society), and advise the U.S. government on chemical practices; your options are severely limited if you are trying to find a job that relates the sciences with the arts/humanities. Your best bet would be to just do one major that you enjoy doing, and/or major/minor in some other major that is closely related to your field.

I also have lots of ideas and goals that are purely just wishful thinking. There’s nothing wrong with dreaming, but please be realistic and keep everything in perspective.
