Engineering at Brown?

So I’ve been applying under engineering even though I’m not at all sure that’s what I want to do, but it’s easier to start in engineering and get out than to start on the outside and get in.

However, let’s say, theoretically, that by some miracle, Brown accepts me. Is their engineering any good? Would I be getting as good of an engineering education as the University of Illinois?

Etc.

yeah sorry, i have just recently discovered the search box. thanks!

engineering at brown is great for people who want to learn engineering and also experience a broader liberal arts environment

brown has the oldest engineering program in the ivy league and the second oldest in the country--it is well-established, and very strong. however, it is small compared to places like cornell so it will not pop up at the top of rank lists. nonetheless--students place into great jobs and grad schools, so this shouldn't be a concern. it's basically a matter of figuring out if it is the right environment for you.
