I'll currently be going to the cooper union in ny but I have some regrets about not going to other "well rounded" schools like Cornell, columbia, etc...Can anyone who goes to a smaller school like rose or harvey-mudd,etc... describe their experiences at these schools.

bump bump bump

I didn't go to one of those but I wish I did! I know Rose pretty well from visiting and knowing several faculty members. It's an amazing place and it's what I would consider one of the best in the nation. I've heard great things about Cooper Union as well.

Remember, Harvey Mudd students can take courses at any of the Claremont colleges, so it would allow it to be better well rounded than Rose-Hulman or Cooper Union.

As a Rose student, my only encounter with this limited curriculum is trying to take advanced Japanese. Rose only has classes that go up to Sophomore-level, the rest have to be taken abroad. Since I entered with a Junior/Senior level proficiency, it posed some difficulty in continuing my studies.

Beyond that I haven't notice a disparancy. I picked Rose because of its engineering focus and so far it seems to be living up to the hype.

Not quite as diverse, but seems to fit for most engineer's needs. Of course, you can only major in engineering, science, or math.

At least Rose has minors that are non-engineering. Cooper doesn't have that............:(
