engineering colleges

what are the best colleges for engineering
though mit, stanford &caltech &UCB top the list what are the other good colleges
also if you compare yale
s engineering program or say darthmouth
s engineering program with gatech
s or RPI
S which do you think is better

thanks in advance

Georgia Tech and RPI are much better for engineering than Yale and Dartmouth. No contest.

Virginia Tech and WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) have great reputations.

How would you rank Univ of Michigan's School of Engineering vs. Northwestern's?

That's a tough one. Michigan and Northwestern are both among the top engineering schools in the country. I would choose U Michigan if you are a Michigan resident, Northwestern if you are not.

northwestern is particularly strong in material science and industrial engineering/management science

Rose Hulman, Olin.

Check out Rose Hulman very good school!!!! My DD goes there and loves it.

Take a look at Rice for engineering.

sreub, Michigan's college of Engineering is generally ranked anywhere between #5 and #8 in the nation. Northwestern's college of Engineering is usually ranked between #10 and #15.
