Engineering Degree Potential

What is the highest "potential" of an engineering major with any type of graduate degree? EG: I know patent lawyers need to be engineers, same with engineering managers, some Wall street analysts, and CEOs. (Which need a JD, MBA, etc) I was wondering what other high positions/prestigious careers can be achieved with an engineer BS degree as a start, and what path to take from there. I personally believe that just a BS degree in engineering will not cut it, at least for my goals.

Some things to know so you dont rip me to shreds
1. I am not "in it for the money",I am just curious and ambitious
2. I know engineers make a large starting salary, and am thinking beyond that

They don’t need to be engineers. They can also have studied science.

They can become strategy consultants.

^ yup, don’t need to be an engineer to become a patent lawyer. I think employers would prefer an engineering degree though.

OK Need is the wrong word but since this is the engineering forum you get the idea. And what is a strategy consultant?
