Hello,
I applied for an Electrical Engineering Intern position and I was notified that I will be attending a technical interview. Any advice or knowledge that I should be aware of or be prepared with before I go in?
And what should I expect?
Thank you.
Well, that depends on the company! Look at what they do, and then review your relevant course material. They will expect you to know their industry and their major products and be able to talk about them with technical understanding appropriate to your education.
More than that is hard to say, it varies a lot between companies.
Look them up on Glassdoor – there may be example interview questions
Second the recommendation that you know what the company’s products are. Also, it would be great to know what their engineering work is like so you can ask intelligent questions about what your role as an intern would be. Don’t need details but a general understanding would be good. Any experience in those areas worth talking about would help. Some examples of how you can work in a team environment would also be good as engineering is a team game.
