<p>Right now, I am considering the pros and cons of attending Rutgers School of Engineering. NJIT is another choice for me which shows it has alot of recruitment (they say atleast 300-400 companies come to recruit). Are there any recruitment places at Rutgers SOE? Like is it difficult to receive internships assuming you have a decent GPA?</p>
<p>There is a lot of recruitment at Rutgers as well. There are career fairs, and also small events where corporations visit and hold info sessions. Generally speaking, many companies prefer students that have a 3.0 gpa or above. Some won’t even look at your application if they see that your gpa is below that. </p>
<p>Getting an internship is competitive especially if you don’t have any friend or relative connections. As a freshman/rising sophomore it might be a little harder since you haven’t taken any courses under your major yet, but there are programs where rising sophomores are eligible to apply. You could also apply for research positions at Rutgers within each engineering department, but they are very selective as well.</p>
