I am still an engineering (rising junior) undergrad fro UMD-CP. I am also in the Hinman CEOs (entrepreneurship) program. I want to get a MBA later on. How can I prepare? Do I necessary need to take a few business classes in undergrad? Can I just read textbooks and understand the basics? I ask because I do not know the MBA curriculum, so I do not know how to prep for it.

I would say take some econ classes if you can.. not the quant classes since you're an engineer and better be good at math already. Take the theory type classes like the intro micro/macro/global trade classes. They give some pretty good foundations. Other than that, there's nothing you need to really do to prep for an MBA besides get a job and work for 2+ years.

Don't take any additional classes. It would be a waste of time. When you are admitted, the school may give u a packet of things you are expected to know (or have a boot camp for it) when you enter (ie basic stats and accounting) but until then don't worry.
