Engineering Masters LORs

I am looking at applying to a few of the top Electrical Engineering Masters programs this fall. I am really not planning on doing research in grad school, and have very little research experience so far simply because it does not interest me. Instead I have had 3 internships during my time as an undergrad (one 3 month and two 6 months).

I am wondering if it is okay for me to submit LOR from my managers on my internships. After all, having spent 6 months under two different managers I feel like I know them better than most of my professors. Ideally, I would like to get 3 LORs - 1 from an internship manager, 1 from a professor and my undergrad thesis advisor, and 1 from the director of undergraduate programs for the college of engineering at my school (who also happens to be the head advisor). Is this acceptable, or should I have more professor recommendations?

P.S. I know the requirements for PhD would be much different (more research experience, more professor recs, etc.) but keep in mind that I am only applying to MS programs. Thanks!
