Hi everybody I am about graduate with a BS in ET and afterwards will transfer to another university to work on a BS in EE, eventually going on to an MS. I worked on a Senior project of a wireless remote mobile robotic arm that I will give a presentation this Thursday. I am wanting to ask for an LOR because of it, but trying to decide on if it should be the Dean of Electronics Dept. or one of the Professors that knows me very well. As far as the LOR would the university that Im trying to attend look at who it is coming from or would it matter? The application process is online, which I already started, and they are still waiting on my transcripts. My overall GPA is about 3.1 so Im not too worried about that. One last question...how should I go about asking for an LOR? I know on the online application there were no questions for awards, LORs etc. I just worked my butt off on my Senior project and would like to have some sort of appreciation to take with me for my transfer.
Thanks everbody.

Ask the latter- you want professors who know you really well.

Just ask, “Hey I want to apply for graduate school for MS in engineering. Do you think I should go?” If yes, “Then do you think you can write a strong and positive letter for me?” If no, then move on to someone else who will say yes.
