They work us hard, and now they're making us sweat.

my friend (engineering transfer) got accepted into Davis about 3 weeks ago with a 3.7 / aerospace.

That's about it.
I'm still pending for irv, dave, and diego.

me too pending for uci,ucla,ucsd,ucsb,ucsd,usc

how long have engineers had to wait for ucla in the past? may?

may? i hope not. i have no idea.

May?? God, I hope not. I have a back up school (a Cal State) that needs their SIR postmarked by May 1st! I need to hear from the UCs first and make a really quick decision on where I want to go. :(

Hang in there guys. I got my decision pretty late too for last year transfers. I got accepted to schools i applied at. Engineering acceptance just takes longer than other majors.

Nice words of encouragement. Thank you comehere1234. Which school are you currently attending and how much adjustment did you have to make.

berkeley, it is tougher than cc

damn engineering department! i want to know now!

Perhaps I'm missing something, but what do you guys mean by "they work us hard"? I had the prereqs for astrophysics or EECS and I'm rather confused how those could be thought of as hard if they're at a community college. Just wondering, since I had all the requisites for astrophysics/EECS.

yeah they are hard for some people like me

I feel bad for bioengineering/chemical engineering majors, with their mass of bio requisites, but that's mostly because I don't like biology much.

So, since your said classes were taken at a community college, they can't be difficult?

Nope, said classes are covered by AP classes. My physics teacher used Resnick/ Halliday supplemented with Feynman. It was a amazing experience. I'm going through the Feynman lectures, but that alone is too much fun, so Goldstein and Jackson for Mechanics and Classical Electrodynamics, respectively. The math isn't taxing but the concepts remain so.

I'm reading some Richard Rhodes to better understand WWII-present scientific impact.

I don't think my professors at my community college are by any means unqualified or my peers idiotic, but only that my peers aren't motivated.

6_6

what cc did you go to?

"I feel bad for bioengineering/chemical engineering majors, with their mass of bio requisites, but that's mostly because I don't like biology much."

yes! some sympathy. :)

oh yeah... my friend got into UCSD as a bioengineer major a couple of days ago.
