are you in state? because if you are, the admissions process for UCs is alot kinder (or so it seems because my hs, which is in socal sends quite a few people to ucb/ucla with somewhat comparable stats). although i'm not an expert on college admissions and what not, because i am in fact matriculating this coming year, i think that your ECs dont particulary stand out. it seems as if everyone (at least at my school) has some combination of NHS,CSF, FBLA. it would also be very helpful if you can provide on the app a list of awards you won for piano imo.

Your UC GPA is 4.1739 (96 grade points--23 classes--sophomore and junior years courses only).

Your SAT I (best single sitting) is 2020. Your top 2 SAT II scores are 800/720 (the UCs won't count the history score at all).

You've taken a ton of APs, but not a lot of extracurriculars.

UC Berkeley EECS--borderline--can go either way (depends on a ton of other things--like your parents college background, economic background, volunteer work, etc.)
UCLA--match
Stanford--slight reach to reach
Caltech--slight reach to reach
Harvey Mudd--match to slight reach

And you need to add UCSD or some other school on here as a safe match to match.

P.S. I'm glad you have lowered your sights just a little since your previous post. As you can tell, I like your chances better at these schools than at your previous list.

Would colleges prefer a physics or chemistry score?

Would raising my SATs to 2200 be much of a difference in the consideration of acceptance?

I thought you count summer classes in the calculation of the GPA.
