Engineering Sciences?

Well I'm going to Dartmouth no doubt because I got in ED. I'm not sure I want to be an engineer necessarily, but I do like learning about the way things work and using a lot of math. I know Dartmouth's engineering school is pretty good but not amazing if I want to go into engineering. Luckily, I don't really think I want to go into engineering as a career anyway, plus a lot of employers like seeing an engineering degree just because of the way it trains you to think. What kind of jobs do you think I would be able to start out with by having an engineering sciences degree? What are some good jobs besides pure engineering that require a lot of the same kind of thinking and math?

Outside of engineering jobs, AB and BE grads from Thayer often go into finance (consulting, i-banking), service jobs, environmental consulting, grad school in science or engineering, jobs in the medical field, or become entrepreneurs. Among others. Basically you can do almost anything with an ENGS degree, it, along with pretty much every degree, is what you make of it.
