Engineering Transfer: Starting at a lower level course?

Hi,
I will be an incoming Electrical Engineering transfer student and I am very worried that I am not prepared enough to start off in the Circuits III course required for my major. I was able to skip Circuits I and Circuits II because the Circuits course at my Community College was equivalent, but honestly I don’t think I learned much from that class and I am frightened that I might fail my Circuits III course at Cal Poly my first quarter.
So what i was thinking was to retake the Circuits II course at Cal Poly and start from there instead of Circuits III.
Any advice? I don’t know if I’ll be wasting my time or if I should play it safe and retake that class.

thank you in advance!

depends, what was the last thing you learned from your cc’s circuits class?

Get the syllabi and old tests from 1 & 2 and see if you’re ready. You can usually find them online. If not, just call the department and tell them why you want them. They will help you out. They want you to succeed. If you can’t, even with a little refreshing, handle the old material, repeat it.
