Engineering

Does anyone know about the 3/2 Engineering program at PC? I am considering it, as well as 3/2 programs at other colleges, and also considering straight engineering undergrad schools. Need to decide this month.

Son is at the college (different major) but has a friend in it. The 3/2 program is turning into a 4/2 program as his friend is reluctant to want to leave after 3 years and wants to do a study abroad which wouldn’t be possible. Other than that, its a great school if you apply yourself and don’t take the party/easy route which many kids get caught up in. What are your other choices?

My other 3/2 programs are at Ithaca and Geneseo. Also accepted directly into the engineering schools at Syracuse and Fairfield, which would get me a Bachelor’s in 4 yrs.

Obviously only the straight engineering schools can do it in 4 years hence why they call the others 3/2 = 5yrs

FWIW, I have heard from other people on CC that quite often kids don’t want to leave after the 3 years and start over again at another school. Something to think about. If you are sure that engineering is your final goal, you should definitely think about just going to one of the schools where you are all ready admitted directly into the engineering program.
