I have a couple of questions regarding the engineering major in particular biomedical engineering? for those who r in BU engineering(or know from experience), how hard is the major? and does someone in this major have a social life(i.e. joining clubs, hanging out with friends, etc.)? Also last question is, is it harder to get into this college than CAS? i know these r a lot of questions so answer all or one if u like. TY in advance

I'm a freshman in aerospace engineering so I can probably help you. Biomed is probably the hardest engineering major, especially at the beginning because you'll be taking a harder chemistry class than the rest of the engineers. All engineers have a social life, but that depends on what your definition of a social life is. You won't be going out on weekdays, but I live on an engineering floor, and we all go out on weekends and have a good time. You can fit clubs in, too, just not too many. I would say that it is harder to get into ENG than CAS. What kind of test scores do you have?

BME majors work their butts off. They definitely have the hardest schedules and don't get too do as much extracurricular stuff as maybe a CAS or CGS major would.

my SAT1 is 1440(CR + M) and my sat 2's r bio : 680 and math level 2 : 780...and i have about a 3.82 weighted GPA out of 5 and like a 3.76 unweighted out of 4. Also i come from a really competitive school in MA. I have a bunch of honors classes and 4 or 5 AP classes ...so what do u think my chances r stickmanftw (or anyone else), and if u can, can u tell me with wat scores u got into BU engineering?

You have a good shot.

Same SAT1 score, I got 700 on both math 2 and Physics SAT 2, about a 3.5/4 GPA and 7 AP classes. You have a really good chance based off that. Good luck!
