English class required?

<p>I’m a sophomore in college. I haven’t taken an English course yet and do not plan on taking one. I was wondering what medical schools would be thinking of this. </p>

<p>I have however taken a class that required a 20 page paper and it fulfills a writing requirement at my school. Also I fulfilled another writing requirement by getting over a 720 on the Writing part of the SAT. </p>

<p>Should I take a course just to be on the safe side?</p>

<p>You are going to need to have 2 english classes for medical school. Med schools might accept the paper writing class as one of the two, but only if the registrar indicates that it was writing intensive (or if it was under the English/Writing school at your University). The SAT thing definitely won’t count as the second.</p>
