If you are a science major, what kind of english classes do you still have to take as a core class in college? And what does it focus on? Writing essays or grammar?

The same as everyone else, and essays/research.

if your school has a core, it's the same as everyone else. Everyone at my university has to take english comp 1 and 2, and world lit 1 and 2. English comp, as you can imagine, focuses on building writing skills. World lit focuses on literature throughout the ages (1 is ancient lit to shakespeare, 2 is shakespeare to modern), although we still have to write a few papers in lit.

Yeah, you'll have to take at least one writing class(if not two) and one Intro to literature-type class. You have to have the basic writing skills down if you want to be able to get by in life without looking stupid.

you should be asking your school this every school is different
