hello guys, I yesterday read that colleges will read ur SAT essay to verify that u really wrote ur application essay.. being an international student, will colleges asumme I did my essay in my native language and then I translated it?.. I mean will they matter if I send a perfect essay, even though I just got 3 on the SAT essay?.. I hope colleges understand that I really wrote my essays in my language but that some people helped me improved it... what do u think?!

I think they'll understand that for a student who is still learning English, the difference will be immense between an essay written in 20 minutes with no dictionary/grammar book and one where you had lots of time to look things up and perfect it.

If possible, have a native English speaker proof read your essay. If you don't know some one in person to do this, find someone on CC that you could trust to not rip-off your essay and have them edit it.

what's your native language?

spanish!.. I know english is not that! hard ( especially because of my native languaje)....
