are these majors well represented at drew ?
are there more artsty type kids there ?
is it the rich kid /preppy type ?
thank you

There is a steady population of English Lit majors, as well as those who minor in Writing. I am one of them. As a sophomore, I have already introduced National Book Award winner, Mark Doty, when he came to read. I was also asked to read my poetry at an alumni house with spoken word poets in NYC. I am also going to London and Paris to study urban culture and space in May. There are so many opportunities for an English major, and the faculty is top notch. I do not think I would have been able to do this at a larger school. I feel confident about my future when I graduate from Drew because I think the opportunities that have been presented to me will keep growing.

At Drew, even though the student pop. is about 1600+, each freshman class is growing and the diversity of the school is much more intriguing than that at other comparable LACs. You will find kids from every walk of life here. There are a lot of artsy kids here, due to Drew’s strong theatre program. According to Princeton Review, Drew has the best theatre program in the nation, over other big name schools. I feel as though anyone can make a group for themselves here. As a Resident Assistant, I have a group of forty eight residents that are all totally different from each other, but they work together and form a solid community and interact well.

Hope this helped.

thank you are they good with aid or grant money ?

So far so good. I believe they are from what I read and hear. The people in the financial aid department seem to be really nice and helpful. Loans (Stafford etc.) you will get from most schools if you qualify. My concern is the grant money. It seems they are pretty good in this respect also.

Wow! The DIS in Paris & London sounds great, lasercat!

Here is some objective aid information:
