English Placement by Portfolio. Is it worth it?

<p>I was very close to placing out of both eng101 and eng102 with my test scores and I am do debating over whether I should do the portfolio to place out or take the SAT again. This is mainly because I plan to double major and I could take other reqs for my majors.
Or just take both classes and get easy As? </p>

<p>If you have the work that would go in the portfolio done already, I would submit it. Those classes are usually super-annoying, involve lots of terrible group projects, and actually are not always easy As–even for decent writers.</p>
