Hello,

My name is Emillyo and I am currently a junior enlisted in the Navy on a ship based in Japan. I spend just about ever hour of my (limited)free time thinking about my future education, but I am worried that because I have a GED instead of a high school diploma I wont be able to shoot as high as I would like to. What I want is to get into cognitive Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, and from what I can tell Rensselaer Polytechnic, UCSD, and MIT are what I should be shooting for.

I got a 2170 composite SAT, and feel that I can bring it up a bit more if need be. I do think that I have the potential to do very well in these universities, but I worry that I look bad on paper. I'm really just looking for some outside opinions on my situation from people that may have some good advice for me, anything you guys can tell me would be greatly appreciated.
