Enrollment appointments!

maybe...my last name starts with an "S"

My last name starts with Sa and my time was 7:25 on the 24th, so I think it's random.

yea...it makes more since that it's random. it wouldn't be fair if you had to register last by default just because your name started with a "z"

Tuesday, August 22, 9AM. ****. I'm gonna be in Paris at that time.

it's definitely random.

Oh my God, I just realized. If I hadn't gotten a time on the 22nd, I would have had to register from Hong Kong, assuming I even have internet there. And if I didn't, I would have to register when I got back, which would probably mean a crappy schedule.

ITS NOT RANDOM.

It all depends on your number of units.

More units = Earlier time.
Less units = Late time.

So blame your AP scores.

I have 48 and my appointment is on 8/23.

so the more units u have the earlier time you get??

well mine is on August 22, 7:25am

Actually, the enrollment times for incoming freshmen for their first Fall Quarter ARE random. Your enrollment date is determined by the earliness of your Orientation date, but after that the enrollment times assigned are random.

It's during the subsequent quarters that your enrollment time is directly linked to the number of units that you have.

But to those who lucked out on early enrollment times, congratulations! Enroll in your college's writing classes right away, before they fill up! Should be the first thing you do when you get on the WebReg screen.

Uh, I don't think it's by date of orientation either. I had the 4th orientation date and I have quite an early registration time. And it's not Regents, because that's not supposed to kick in until Winter quarter. And yeah, it's not AP units because I've got 24 and drew had 48 and I have an earlier time.

22nd at 8:40am. i wish we could tradee

yes, the more units you have the earlier your registration time will be.

just basically if you have passed any AP classes, you'll prolly be a day or two earlier then normally.

so simple

i thought you got in trouble with admissions for not turning in transcripts, what happened?

oh, i don't know about the units then, but i know during hte year, registration matters depending on the number of units you have.

problem fixed.. i called admissions and they said dont' worry about it. they just needed another transcript along with my letter and counselor's letter of why they didn't receive it before. My HS counselor just wrote she did send it on June 26, 2006 (she really did). yupe and thats it i feel stupid for panicking before ^^ now my boxes are checked in the checklist

Aug 25, 10:20. That sucks.
Out of curiosity, how many of you guys want to go for early classes? Maybe I'll luck out and still be able to get them...

The times are RANDOM!!! The orientation leaders said that units don't matter this time. They will matter later on though.

aug22, 7:40 am..arrgh! this summer i can't even wake up at 11 am, so i'm def. gonna have to set my alarm clock. BTW what if you show up like 20 min after your supposed time..does anything happen?

It's not by AP scores. I took 14 AP tests and my time is on the 25th.

Rdw, you want early classes?? I don't want to sign up for any classes before 11 AM.

johndoe, i'm pretty darn sure that you can sign up for classes after your designated time, you just can't sign up before.
