Enrollment deposit problem/question?

<p>Today I went online to pay my d's $100 enrollment deposit. It accepted my payment and then went to a page that said "see you in the fall." I was never asked for my d's name or student id number. </p>

<p>Has anyone else had this happen? I don't see how they will know which student I am paying for!</p>

<p>Are you sure you weren’t already logged in as her? How did you get to the page to pay?</p>

<p>No, I hadn’t logged in. I don’t even know her password.</p>

<p>I tried to duplicate how you were able to pay without logging in. After clicking on the Admitted Students tab, I got directed here: <a href=“https://intenttoenroll.indiana.edu/[/url]”>https://intenttoenroll.indiana.edu/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

<p>If I then select the box that says “Click Here to Pay Your Deposit”, it takes me to this page:

<p>I can’t go any further without having set up my student’s computer account. Perhaps she set it up and never logged out. So then, when you try to pay, you were already logged in for her? Maybe???</p>

<p>Did you receive an e-mail like this? I forgot how I got to the on-line payment though. Must be the age.</p>

Yes, I did receive an email saying my enrollment deposit was received. I also checked my online bank account statement (I paid with a debit card) and the charge is listed as pending.</p>

<p>We’ve been laughing that I paid for someone we don’t know to attend IU next year. </p>

<p>The only explanation we could come up with is that back in the fall when I paid her housing deposit I set up something for myself with a user name and password so I could be an authorized payer (I don’t remember exactly what it was called; I can barely remember what I did last week. :))</p>

<p>I’m thinking that I must have told our computer to save my info and since this involved payment it automatically logged in for me.</p>

<p>My d’s planning to room with a friend from her high school so we’ve decided that we will call IU if her roommate receives orientation info and my d doesn’t.</p>
