And I need to ask a question. Do you guys think this award I have earned in year 9 in another country counts? And if it does, will it be a big hook even if I didn't bother with track in my current school?

I won a silver in the national [Malaysia] high school athletics tournament in KL for 4x100 relay representing the state/city of Penang.

Please give me a chance out of 10 inside of the usual reaches, matches please?

ramar, my gpa is way too low even for cal poly? isn't pomona really easy?

blah anyways does anyone know how fast are you expected to run to have a chance to be recruited into the track team? Because under current conditions, I seriously doubt I will break into the 10 seconds range.

wat event are you looking to be recruited for sympathy???
I can give you a ballpark time if u tell me the event.
And if your looking to be recruited for track or cross country

and these are some high standards, it depends on the schools program and whether its D 1 D 2 our D 3 (D3 doesnt give scholarship money to athletes)
if your looking to get recruited by a top school then u need to meet these otherwise if their program isnt the best u have some leeway with the times

To go D1 for track you MUST BE AT LEAST in the high 10s..maybe 11.1 highest for 100. For 200 at least around 22.5. LJ at least around 21-8ish. What I gave are the minimum needed for you to be even looked at for D1. So unless you have those, don't even bother thinking you can get in with as an athlete. Remember that is for D1. D2 and D3 the standards are lower, but you still have to be pretty damn good.

I myself am being looked at by recruits for running track in college(and possibly a scholarship). All that I have talked to want the times stated above since I also am going for 100, 200, LJ, and also TJ.

Hmm. Darn that sucks. I can prob get into the mid 11 on good days but 10- is out of my league. LJ is definately out of question and 200 isn't looking good either. I wonder if I can get into the 10- if I didn't sit on my butt for the past 3 years but I doubt it. Blah....

Uplands. Dalat is too far away. I lived on Kelawei at Gurney Drive. This world is really so small, a few monthes ago I met someone online that attended St. Christophers. Did you go there as well?

!! You must be one of the best there. At least Uplands don't send many people to the top schools.

Haha they said they ill move for 4 years. Finally they made the swtich I guess. I saw the model. It certainly looks better than the old building. I was afraid that thing would collapse anyday....lucky it didn't.

Anyways do u know po cheung? (wrong spelling maybe)....the taiwanese guy that i used to know. I think he goes to dalat too.

haha you remind me of the days of playing hookies and camping in cyber cafes. argh, good times.
