I am an incoming 9th grader, with straight A+ and I want to become a medical professional, I am listed as a gifted student and was wondering what can I do early on to prepare my self for the intense road ahead of me in high school and in medical school?

I’m in high school also, soon to be junior. I recommend you to take the most rigorous classes as possible. Oh and make sure you do well in those classes. Also find out about volunteer/extracurricular activities you could do. I regretted not doing so my freshmen year, felt like I had a late start. Talking to your school counselor should help. Wish you the best of luck!

Take advantage of AP and honor courses. Try your best to get a good GPA and stay active in clubs both in and out of school. You have a lot of time before you have to worry about applications
