I'm planning on pursueing film as my undergraduate major (either Film Production or Creative Producing at Chapman), and after taking a couple Political Science classes at a local JC, I am really interested in going to law school and doing Entertainment Law (preferably at USC)
Will I be able to get into law school with a film related degree? Or do they want more of a liberal arts/political science undergrad? I am open to doing a Political Science minor if it helps, but most likely not a major.
Thanks!

I’m no expert, but from what I’ve heard (from people who are going into law school this fall) law schools don’t look favorably upon non-liberal arts majors. However the only major these people ever mentioned was business-school students, so I wouldn’t know how law schools would look at a Film Production degree (Film studies is liberal arts, but producing isn’t). However law schools do not openly prefer one liberal arts major to another, it just so happens that many political science majors go to law school.

Also I’m curious as to why you want to go into Entertainment Law. If you’re majoring in production don’t you want to pursue a career in that direction?
