Entertainment & Performing Arts Management vs. Music Business

I am one of the many people that got put into the Entertainment Management program instead of the Music Business program.
I was wondering if anyone know any more about the EPAM program?
How is it different from the MB program? (I have heard very.)
Is it worth changing my major for?
(I'm fairly certain I am not going to Drexel, but if I do I'll most likely transfer out.. and wondering if it's wise to go under the EPAM program for a year..)

I got accepted to Entertainment and Arts Management as well but changed to Music Industry (I assume this is what you’re talking about when you say Music Business, so hopefully this applies). It is practically impossible to transfer into Music Industry as there are 54 spots which are all filled by this time. Entertainment and Arts Management is a wider range than Music Industry (this can apply to working at museums and other such places rather than just radio stations and recording studios, etc.) If you went to Drexel there is virtually no chance of changing into Music Industry so you would probably have to stick with EAM, which I still heard is a great program.

Yeah, I just visited over the weekend… and the EAM program sounded pretty amazing…

My daughter got into EAM too. She wanted Music Industry. I think EAM sounds a lot more practical. You’ll have a broader background when you graduate. The music industry is very entrepreneurial. Well… I guess EAM is too but at least you’ll have more job options. It didn’t sound like they had many internships available, did it? It’s a lot of money to spend on a profession that’s mostly entrepreneurial.
