<p>I've heard from a couple of people that environmental engineers have trouble finding jobs. One person told me that many companies have work in this area, but they are not sure how to use environmental engineers.</p>
<p>This information comes from within a Civil & Environmental Engineering department that is relatively well regarded (CMU). I've also been told that a masters degree is almost essential. I find this a little discouraging as a junior civil/environmental engineer that feels very excited about the type of work in environmental engineering and may not have the resources to attend grad school.</p>
<p>Is this information I've been told accurate?</p>
