should I get a small or big envelope for teacher recommendation?

Get the smallest envelope possible. Staistical Analysis proves that you have 10 times of a better chance getting accepted by sending a small envelope than a big one. This is especially true for competitive colleges.
Send a small envelope, because it can make or break your chance lol :D :D

Business size (#10) envelope stamped and addressed to each school. leave the return address blank as the teacher will fill it in

is there something wrong with using the big envelopes? that's what i was planning on.

well the recommendation forms for University of Chicago said "do not fold" or something like that so i used a 9 x 12 envelope for that one. schools taking the common app i just used an average sized envelope. counselor recommendations are supposed to be in a 9 x 12 envelope. and for the return address i just put the address of my high school....hope that's alright.
