Environmental Design 1

anybody know anything about this class??????
My major is actually Environmental sciences(or thinking of), but I just wanted to check this class out. Is it hard? do we actually like..construct models or something? or is it primarily lectures?

any information about this class would be appreciated:) thx.

I took ED1 a couple of years ago and it wasn't particularly easy. You have lectures two times a week, reading for each week, discussion, and projects. I really enjoyed it... but then again I'm an architecture major. It definetly seemed like a lot of work at the time. Now that I've taken other architecture studio classes it doesn't seem too bad. However if it's your first experiance with building and designing it could end up taking a lot of time. I think that there was one midterm when I took it an no final... so that part of the class wasn't too hard. It was more work making the models and such. When I took that class I had to build my dream house, a garden, redesign a city center, design a room, build a garden ornament, and redeisng the area where uc berkeley meets oxford. Some of these projects were group projects which made them easier. Although this wasn't a particularly easy if it is subject you are interested in I would definetly suggest it. I got a lot out of the course and definetly think that it was worth my time.

thanks for the response.. and wow that definitely sounds like a lot of work. I'm currently deciding between this class and a visual arts(freedrawing?) class, so yea... I don't really know yet. Maybe I'll go to first week's classes and decide or something. but both of these classes definitely sound very very fun and interesting:)
