Environmental Science at USC vs TUFTS

@Mastadon You are the best!

I am assuming you are a first gen college student - which puts you at a disadvantage trying to navigate the process in an optimal fashion. Doing it as a transfer makes it even harder because there is less time to figure things out.

Both my children (and a niece) were interested in environmental science, so I have been through the process - from college selection through launching a career- multiple times.

Please be aware that most selective schools hold classes that are counted toward a major to a higher standard than classes counted just for graduation credit. The number of courses taken at another school that can be counted toward a major is often limited and the courses often have to be approved by the department offering the major. I have seen people impacted by this with courses taken abroad.

Make sure that when you are told that you will get transfer credit for a course that you understand whether or not it can be used to satisfy a requirement for your selected major.
