Should I take Env. Sci. AP or Physics non-AP?

Which is more important for college? Which looks better for college?

Which is more important for college? Which looks better for college?

Physics; Env Sci. AP does not garner respect (at least at top schools).

AP Enviro is one of the 5 joke AP Classes. You would be better taking honors Biology, Chemistry or Physics than that.

What if it is not honors physics, just regular? Would the gpa boost provided by AP envsci not be worth it?

My physics teacher said that colleges look to see that you have taken physics.

Physics, Bio, and Chem are the Holy Trinity of science. AP Enviro is gnerally considered a cake (aka gut) class. I’d recommend basic physics over AP enviro.

alright, physics it is.

Damn. I took AP Enviro, AP Biology, and AP Chem in lieu of physics. Am I screwed?

Do colleges really care if you take the cake/easy aps? Like Psych maybe?

@Academicterror = I think they were just saying I need to get the basic sciences down first, Psych would be fine if you have an opening in your schedule that could not be filled by a more important class (physics in my case)

I had a meeting with a college counselor at a college/unviersity that I will not name. It is a top ranked university however. They said that there are 5 AP’s that are look at as easy to the point where some regular classes look better than they do. These AP Classes are AP Psych, AP Stat, AP Enviro, AP Gov and AP Geo. Make of that what that what you want, but it caused me to not take AP Stat and instead take AP Calc BC (had taken AB Previously because it is a required pre-req for BC).
