Just wondering if anyone here was in this program? I see they offer in completely online now. Anyone done that, and have any feedback?
This is a very quiet thread. How do you guys like OSU in general? Corvallis? Need to liven this thread up. LOL.

Hahaha I’m thinking the same thing I’m a prospective student, and knowing the people in CC, they are mostly overachievers, super genius kids with 4.0 GPA and mind boggling SAT scores (not to mention great ECs) so it is not much of a surprise that this thread is a bit…well…dead…overachievers just doesn’t apply to OSU ;P

Early on, my son was leaning towards an environmental science major but now has shifted to business. We toured Oregon and Oregon State last spring and liked OSU better. It had a nice vibe to it. We also liked the wide variety of majors, particularly in the sciences.

It’s too bad there is so little discussion about the school on CC. OSU is one of 4 schools my son has been accepted at and was considered his safety net. Still waiting on a few more decisions.

I think BrownPennLover hit the nail on the head about the typical CC forum user. However, you would think there would be more discussion about a school with an enrollment of 20,000 students.

I am a third year student at Oregon State and I have to say I love it. The campus is great and all the teachers are very supportive. Especially if your are in the honors college you will meet a lot of very intelligent people and great student-picked teachers that teach 20 people max honors classes (my honors ecology class this term has 9 people).

The honors college offers seats to about 250 students every year with the average high school GPA/SAT being 3.95/2050. Everybody is very intelligent. In a school with 20,000 people, you will not have a hard time meeting highly motivated, intelligent individuals.

I wish the football team were a little better :)

Thanks for the ringing endorsement. Lots of people I talk to speak highly of Oregon State. Your football program is not too shabby. Go Beavs!

What about class sizes in the non-Honors curriculum? How large are the upper level classes in the engineering school, generally speaking?

Tell me about business classes. There will be a seminar frm OSU in my country on 5th next month. I just want to hear from real students rather than someone who is going to persuade me to attend

Kikocupcake, try to have an open mind! Often, admissions office representatives are alumni of the colleges they represent. Some are even very recent graduates, not terribly far removed from their days on the quad.

Okay i heard it will be a professor.
