Erasable ink on the SAT essay

I have a question.
Can we use those erasable papermate pens on the essay? I was thinking yes, but on the box it says not to use on official documents because the ink becomes permanent over time.

Has anyone done so? (I thought it was a great idea)
How did it turn out?

I think you must use pencil on the SAT essay.

i dont think so

The graders read from a scanned copy of your essay, not the original. So if there's any chance of the scanner not picking up your pen marks, then I wouldn't risk it.

has anyone actually written an SAT essay with an erasable pen who can answer for this?

no, becuase no one wants to lose their scores. the scanner is set to pick up on a number 2 pencil. you would be crazy to test it by using a pen.

wow, my brain just farted.

I got totally confused between AP testing and SAT testing. In AP world you use a pen for the essay and a pencil for the scantron...

SORRY

lol, yeah. the essay is scanned just like the scantron.

you use pencil for the essay.
