Hi...My high school just made a glaring mistake on my final transcript. They forgot to mention a course which is a core requirement for my college. Not only does the transcript not mention the grade; it shows NO RECORD of enrollment in that course whatsoever! I was in the course and got a 96 percent! Since it is summer, I'm having trouble getting hold of the teacher and the counselor. They both know I was in the course and, if they saw the transcript, would both know there was a mistake, so it's not like I can't find proof. The problem is that the bad transcript has already been sent to the admissions office! Should I call them and tell them the transcript is wrong, and then call my HS counselor and ask her to correct it and re-send the corrceted copy, or will I likely be temporarily rescinded until the error is corrected? Any advice would be appreciated!

btw, has anyone on this forum ever had this experience?

Relax already, sheesh. It's an administrative mistake. It's not as if you committed a felony. What about the advice you've been given that isn't clear?

Was the course listed on your mid-term report? If so, then there's really nothing to worry about; that clearly indicates an error.

However, you should still call them and let them know what happened, and then contact either the GC or the office at your HS and get a corrected transcript. You can also fax them your copy of your transcript in the meantime.
