Well, I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I have got 2 Cs & 2 Bs in my first semester. Now my overall GPA -except esl- is about 3.6 and it's all right with me, however I'm afraid ESL grades hurt transfer chance.

And besides, all the grades including ESL have printed when I have tried to check my transcript on college website... I'm really apprehensive about this.

If someone has any opinion, please tell me.
thanks...

Well, if you are directly from other country, taking ESL would not hurt you (I think). However, they might look at your other classes' grades more in your case.

I don't think they would factor that into your transfer GPA. ESL classes last time I checked weren't transferable at most colleges. It's like taking pre requisities for transferable units, those don't count.

Yeah, I mean to be blunt, they are looking for students who are the creamiest of the crop, so if english is a barrier fro you, it could work against you!!!!. Unless you have a perfect scoreon your TOFIEL!!!!!!

I don't they would factor into your gpa but it will show on your transcript but 4 years uni won't factor it since its not college level classes.
