I’m writing my common app essay about political activity. It’s not necessarily about my views or anything super polarizing, but just my experience working on a campaign and what i learned from that experience. Is that a bad essay topic?
Almost any essay topic is fine – it is about how your write it. And do keep the focus on what you learned (and perhaps also how you can apply what you learned going forward) rather than the politics.
