I know writing is not my strongest suit and I was wondering if someone could give some advice or trade. I am doing the 2 essays for the UC topics.

I can give you some advice if you let me know what the topics are.

Don’t worry! Admittedly, it is a late, but I went through several drafts and hit lots of roadblocks before I settled on an essay I liked
1)The describe your world prompt:
Your world is very broad- it doesn’t have to be the family/community/school thing. It can be physical or psychological or whatever you can think of. I wrote about an online community for mine.

2) Talent/Experience one:
I thought this would be the easier to write of the two, but I actually had more trouble with this one because I picked a rather odd combination of subjects to work with, haha. Just pick something you like doing or an important experience or something. Statements that focus on one specific moment tend to be stronger, but there are plenty out there that don’t focus and work fine. Just remember the focus is on yourself- and this is what people can’t really help you with. Do some soul searching, and you’ll be fine ;D

The prompt isn’t ‘describe your world’ it is to ‘describe the world you come from–and how that has shaped your dreams and aspirations.’ While I agree that there is a lot of flexibility in how you can respond to this, no one comes from an online community! That is rather something you do. I wouldn’t recommend that topic, but I’m sure it is interesting. I hope it address the prompt, though.
