I chose to right my essay on the “identity, background, talent” etc topic, and more precisely on heritage and how it has shaped me. Overall, my idea was to mention 2 members of my family whom I look up to and think of very dearly. I briefly give an example of what they’ve done (for instance, a grandparent who owned a business) and relate it to my personal achievements (I was elected president of a school company as a project in economics. My company ended up getting the highest results in profits etc) Would this sound a bit clichéd I mean, should I avoid mentioning what my family has done (since I want to explain where my current interests and ambitions stem from) or would it be ok if it were just for a couple of sentences to clarify?
I dont think you should avoid it, maybe say the family members gave you advice or inspired you to achieve what you have achieved
