essay - choose a quote... question

hey guys

so i used a recycled essay for choose a quote. and the quote i chose fits it quite well.

however, do i just put the quote at the top? or should I explain how it relates to my essay... damn im already past 500.

when the question said use it as a jumping off point, i wasnt sure.

please respond, id appreciate it!

You've probably already submitted, but I just put it at the top, and made a few allusions, but nothing explicit

hahah yeah i just put it at the top
submitted yesterday

ok should i just put it at the top and make references to it

OR
should I put a paragraph after the quote which connects the quote to my essay (sort of as an introductory thing)

OR
do they really want it to be like a jumping off point? I can't really do that b/c i wrote the essay first and then I found the quote so it's hard

pick options 1, 2, or 3 for me thanks

I think they want to you make references...

I didn't really mention anything explicit in my essay either about the quote. I just couldn't find a way for it to fit in my essay, and it would be awkward to say "Yeah, I was reading this book and it reminded me..."
