So i'm very worried about my essays. My commonapp essay is about how I came to love biology (found it by overcoming difficulties), and my supplementaries are on biology too (why X unis-- because of the biology program). Am I lacking too much diversity? I'm getting little-to-no support with my schools -_- Help me!! It's either I change my commonapp essay right? Well, it's due on january 1st and I have 7 other essays to write!! ahhhh</p>
<p>I’ve read from various college essay books that keeping a common theme throughout your essays can be an effective strategy. If it’s only the common app prompt and the “Why X?” essays, I don’t see why it would be a problem.</p>

<p>Unless u are demonstrating your passion for biology by engaging in some biology activities outside the classroom (e.g., independent research, a job in a bio lab, a science project for a competition), simply saying you’ve come to love biology sounds pretty lame.</p>
