the essay limit is 500 of the HM supplement... no more words willl fit..
n my essay is 600 words .. if i edit it, it wont come out too well..
wat do i do?
should i send the essay by mail and in the common app supplement tell them that i have done so..??
that time they wont sit and count the words na..

When I applied, my essays were over 500 words. As long as you are not way overboard such that it is clearly noticeable, I don't think they would mind. 600 words is not too much over. If you cut it down any more, it would be better, but really don't worry about it. I wouldn't mention it in the common app supplement that it is over 500 words. It's not really worth it. They mention that limit in order to make sure people don't write an essay as long as a bachelor's thesis.

problem is that in the CApp supplement not more than 500 words will FIT..
so should I mail the colleges the essay then? and mention it at the space given for the essay that its been mailed..

Hmm...good question. I think your best bet would be to call admissions at (909)-621-8011 and ask them.

hmm.. thanks
