My daughter applied to UofT for Engineering and Art and Science. For engineering you should do your profile, it was more or less clear (even if not from the first attempt). However for Art and science there were no place to put an essay or anything. I know that Victoria college and Trinity college request students to submit their profile. She didn’t choose any of these colleges. It might be stupid, but I feel like she missed part of her application. And even if it is late already, I would like to know if essay is required for other colleges for 105D applicants, and if it is how to find a place where you have to enter it.
I found this Ontario application process very confusing in comparison with US, but we can’t be too picky with the prices for Universities.
There is no supplemental essay or application for the Faculty of Arts and Science, unless she is applying to Commerce.
She should be monitoring her joinID account (for Arts and Science) and the Faculty of Engineering portal (for engineering) to make sure they have all the documentation.
Which college did she rank first on her application? Victoria and Trinity are the only ones I’m aware of that require a supplemental application.
Thank you. Her first choice is Woodsworth. She does monitor her joinID account. But Ontario Universities were behind by two weeks in processing 105D application. So no I worry that she won’t have her decision by the time she needs to choose university. She already got some nice acceptances in US, but she wants to stay in Toronto for now.
BTW how do they decide on acceptance without essay? by stats only?
Yes, stats only. IME, the majority of acceptances for U of T arts and science will come out the third week of March (in 2 weeks). They’ll appear on the joinID portal first.
Thank you very much. By stats my daughter have a chance to be in.
